We’ll admit it: it’s a little weird. We had a bed in the closet . Not because we were out of ideas—just trying to make every square foot count. It fit. It had an AC vent. It was quiet, dark, and honestly? Some kids sleep better in full darkness anyway. In group travel, numbers matter—how many people you can sleep often determines whether a place gets booked or passed over. When we first set up our Airbnb, we thought the same. So we added a fold-out bed. It served its purpose: it bumped up our guest count. It filled a space. It checked a box. But it didn’t add value —not really.
